When should you see an Orthodontist?
There are many different bite problems that, if recognized early, can be easily corrected. Treating developing orthodontic problems at an earlier age can reduce, or even eliminate, future orthodontic needs. Only an orthodontist has the education to evaluate these potential problems at an early age and recommend treatment that could possibly eliminate a future surgical correction.
The American Association of Orthodontists (AAO) recommends all children visit an orthodontist by the age of 7. This will allow an orthodontist to evaluate current and potential future treatment needs and keep you informed of the growth and development of your child’s dentofacial complex.
