Temporary Anchorage Devices
The development and refinement of the Temporary Anchorage Device, or TAD, arguably represents the single greatest development in the field of orthodontics. These small, titanium screws have completely changed how orthodontists treat even the most “routine” orthodontic patient. In fact, many patients that would have required a surgical procedure in conjunction with their braces are now being treated with braces and TADs alone.
