The Forsus® Appliance
The Forsus® Appliance is designed to help correct the bite of patients. It can reduce or eliminate the need for headgear or elastics. The appliance is composed of a telescoping spring and a small, metal extension rod that apply a light, continuous force to move the teeth as quickly as possible.
It is attached to the upper molar and the lower wire. It is not removable by the patient and therefore eliminates all the hassle of trying to remember to place and replace rubber bands. The Forsus® is comfortable and easy to wear and has made correcting certain bite problems much more predictable.
